The world’s hairiest girl has grown up, is happily married, and is now showing off her new look after shaving!

A girl who was once called names like “wolf girl” and “monkey face” by others never let that stop her from finding happiness. She later found the love of her life, and her story shows how much it changed her world.

Supatra “Natty” Sasuphan, once known as the world’s hairiest girl, dealt with teasing and fear from her classmates because of how she looked.

On August 5, 1999, something special happened in Supatra’s family—she was born. Like most parents, her mom and dad, Sompon and Samrerng, were filled with joy and excitement. But their happiness quickly turned into surprise, fear, and disbelief when the doctor told them their baby was born with a lot of hair.

At first, they thought it was normal, but when they saw her in the incubator, they were shocked by how much hair covered her body. Even the doctors in Thailand hadn’t seen anyone like her before.

Later, they found out that Natty had a rare condition called Ambras syndrome. It’s so rare that only 50 cases have been recorded throughout history. This condition causes extra hair to grow all over the body, except on the palms, soles, and inside the mouth, likely due to a sudden change in DNA.

When Natty was born and her mom wanted to leave the hospital, the doctors didn’t want to let her go because they were worried she might abandon her baby. But Sompon, her mom, told them she would never leave her child behind. She said, “We are lucky she was born into our family.”

Natty grew up with lots of love from her family, but not everyone understood her condition, and she had to face some mean behavior from strangers and other kids.

As Natty grew up, her face stayed covered by thick hair because of her incurable condition, Ambras syndrome. Treatments like laser hair removal didn’t work to slow down her hair growth. At school, she was teased because of how she looked. Kids called her names like “wolf girl” and “monkey face.”

But Natty didn’t understand why they made fun of her. She saw herself as a normal girl who just had a little more hair. She said, “It’s just the way I am.”

Natty’s teacher, Kuljira Posaeng, shared that at first, other kids were scared of how Natty looked, which made her early days at school tough. But over time, Natty showed that she was just like everyone else. Teachers said she worked hard and got good grades, and eventually, she became one of the most popular kids in school.

Natty’s teachers said she was a fun, energetic girl who loved to sing, dance, and act. Her parents treated her just like any other child and never made her feel less important. They took her everywhere and were never embarrassed that she looked different from other kids.

Later on, Natty found her love.

Natty has accepted her condition, knowing there’s no cure. She chose to let her body hair grow naturally, only shaving her face when she became a teenager. As she got older, her self-confidence and how she saw herself became more important, and she eventually found love.

She said, “It started as friendship, then we became a couple.” Their talks made her happy, and being together felt easy. She added, “It was a kind of love I never expected would happen to me.”

Natty later married her boyfriend, calling him “the love of my life.”

She also shared pictures with her partner, showing her face without any facial hair. Some people thought she might have been cured, but her dad explained that she chose to shave her facial hair to show her new look. Now, you can see her eyes, face, mouth, lips, and cheeks, with only her forehead covered by hair.

Natty, who has found love and happiness, is committed to living a positive life and making a wonderful impact on society. She believes everyone is beautiful and unique in their own way, and she wants to inspire others to embrace their individuality and shine with their inner beauty.
