Because Catherine was determined to stand by King Charles at Trooping The Color

Charles III, the king head of the Commonwealth, is known for his warmth and devotion as a grandfather.

His softer side is evident in his interactions with his grandchildren, George Charlotte and Louis, who were eager to join him at the trooping of the Colour.

Their participation was made possible by their mother Catherine, who had to keep her children in line while Charles was on horseback. Their shared battles with serious health issues have solidified their bond.

Charles’s choice to devote more time at the castle and the Wales family’s move to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor Great Park have allowed him to bond with his grandchildren.

He cherishes being a grandfather and enjoys spending time with them, playing in the garden, and reading to them. Charles has even christened an area he designed at Burk Hall his Scottish home, similar to Prince George’s.

Over the years, there has been a change in his relationship with the younger generations of the royal family, with a particularly illustrative instance occurring when Charlotte was born in 2015.
