Keke Palmer’s split from her ex-husband Darius Jackson seemed to have changed the way the singer thinks about many things, including what she thinks about asking herself if a relationship or marriage is right for her or not.
“As we grow up, as women, is it a relationship for me? Do I care to get married?’ Palmer asked rhetorically.
“Like, my personality has changed so much in terms of who I thought I was. Like, at 18, I said, “I’ll get married at 25.” You know what I mean? And then she was like, “You know, I’ve only had one boyfriend in my whole life.” Then he’s like, “He’s crazy as hell.” Like, now I have five boys and now I’m already 27. I haven’t even realized I have to pick one.”
“Like, it was always this different thing. And so it’s really interesting how our experiences continue to challenge who we think we want to be.” she added.
The actress’ comments come about a month before Palmer’s first scheduled hearing, where the judge would have decided whether or not to continue Palmer’s restraining order against Jackson.
That day, Jackson was also scheduled for another hearing on the restraining order he filed against Palmer, alleging that she was the abusive one in their relationship.
