Princess Catherine of Wales is expected to not attend the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony on June 15th, despite her battle with cancer.
Kensington Palace confirmed that the 42-year-old Princess of Wales will not assume her role as inspecting officer at the Colonel’s review event scheduled for June 8th.
However, Catherine is reportedly eager to participate in the event, even though her husband Prince William has reservations about her plan.
Royal officials have not explicitly ruled out her attendance for the main event, but Catherine’s doctors have the final say. The Princess’s last public appearance was on Christmas Day last year when she joined other members of The Firm for a church service.
She then retreated from the public eye to undergo major abdominal surgery in January, and post-operative tests later discovered the presence of cancer. The palace has announced that she will return to Royal duties after Easter, with the Princess’s attendance in doubt.
