Demi Moore, a famous actress and Bruce Willis’ ex-wife, gave a touching update on his health at the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival on Sunday, October 13. While receiving the Career Achievement in Acting Award, she took time during her talk to share her experience supporting Willis as he continues to fight frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

During a talk with the audience, moderated by HIFF Advisory Board member Alina Cho, Demi Moore, 61, shared that her ex-husband Bruce Willis, 69, is “stable” despite the challenges of frontotemporal dementia (FTD). She said, “The disease is what it is. You have to accept it.” She added, “For where he is right now, he is stable.”

Moore talked about how she copes with Willis’ condition, emphasizing the importance of accepting the reality of the situation. She said, “I always encourage people to meet them where they are. Holding on to what things used to be is a losing battle.” Instead, she believes that when you accept the current situation, “there is great beauty and sweetness.”

Looking back on her recent visit with Bruce Willis just two days earlier, Demi Moore spoke warmly about the time they spent together with their granddaughter, Louetta, who is Rumer Willis’ daughter. She said, “It’s important to enjoy whatever time we have together.” This highlights the importance of cherishing moments with family.

Bruce Willis’ struggle with frontotemporal dementia has been closely followed by fans, especially since he stepped away from acting in 2022 after his diagnosis. Moore’s update shows the strength and grace she and their family have as they go through this tough time.

Willis’ condition has brought a lot of support from fans and colleagues, who continue to stand by him and his family during this journey.
