Miley Cyrus admits she doesn’t want to hang out with many celebrities

In a recent interview on David Letterman’s Netflix talk show, Cyrus explained her perspective on this matter.

As the daughter of country music star Billy Ray Cyrus and a former Disney Channel star, she has been immersed in the world of celebrities from a young age.

However, Cyrus admitted that she doesn’t feel like she belongs in that particular social circle.

Cyrus revealed that she doesn’t feel herself anymore when she’s in that room where she engages with other entertainers and celebrities.

Instead, she prefers to maintain more selective and meaningful relationships with a few artists she genuinely connects with.

One such artist is Beyoncé, whom Cyrus has known for a long time and collaborated with on Beyoncé’s latest album.

Cyrus expressed her admiration for Queen Bey, stating, “There are certain artists like Beyoncé – who, like us, we’ve known each other for a long time.”

This suggests that Cyrus values long-standing relationships and a sense of kinship over the fleeting connections that often characterize the celebrity social scene.

Cyrus also recalled a memorable performance she shared with Beyoncé and Rihanna at a Stand Up to Cancer event in 2008.

Despite being ‘super small’ and ‘having braces’ at the time, Cyrus was in awe of the ‘fully grown up, gorgeous, probably similar to my age now’ superstars who ‘towered over’ her.

She was grateful for Beyoncé’s kindness and the experience of being “sandwiched between Rihanna and Queen Bey.”

Eventually, Cyrus’s approach to socializing within the celebrity world seems to be driven by a desire for authenticity and meaningful connections.

She prioritizes quality over quantity when it comes to her relationships, valuing kindness, consistency, and a shared understanding of the perceived glamour and status of celebrity circles.

Previously, Cyrus also gained the spotlight after speaking out about the Grammys’ disdain for 17 years of her successful career.

Miley Cyrus admitted her long-standing frustration with the Grammys for not recognizing her for 17 years of her successful career.

Despite having numerous chart-topping hits, Cyrus felt overlooked by the music industry.

In a talk with W Magazine, Miley Cyrus thought about her career path. She asked what makes someone successful in the music business – is it the numbers, the stats, or the impact on culture?

Cyrus said she was proud of her work, but her wish to be recognized was not because she was arrogant.

Before Miley Cyrus won her Grammy in 2024, she had been nominated two times already.

At the 2024 Grammy Show, Cyrus had a great performance that impressed the crowd. But she also wondered why the audience did not seem very excited about her hit song.

Cyrus recognized that anyone who lets others see and judge them is courageous, and she embraced the Grammy stage with a childlike confidence.
