On Monday, a guy chased a lady down a street in Manhattan before committing sexual assault and robbery on her, according to the police, who resumed their hunt for the perpetrator on Tuesday.

At around 1:40 in the morning, the suspect approached the victim, a 21-year-old woman who was walking near East 111th Street and Second Avenue in East Harlem.

Because of the things he said to her, she decided to get away from him as quickly as she could.

He gave pursuit to her and was eventually successful in capturing her. After that, authorities say, he sexually assaulted her.

According to the police, he allegedly snatched a purse off her shoulder as well as a smartphone from the hand she was holding it in.

The last time anyone saw him, he was running away eastbound on East 111th Street.

The victim’s injuries were attended to at a local medical facility after she was taken there by medical personnel.

The suspect is thought to be in his early 20s, according to the NYPD. The last time anybody saw him, he was carrying a black backpack and a gray bag while wearing a black t-shirt with a teddy bear pattern on it.
