It was a tough start to the week for Kourtney Kardashian and her family.
On Monday, September 30, Kourtney honored her father, Robert Kardashian, on the 21st anniversary of his passing in 2001 at age 59 after a short battle with esophageal cancer.
Kourtney, the eldest daughter of Robert and Kris Jenner, shared the moment with her siblings Kim, Khloé, and Robert Jr.
To remember her dad, Kourtney posted a throwback photo on Instagram of the two of them from when she was 14, taken 10 years before he passed away. In the picture, they’re standing in front of balloons, and Kourtney, dressed in a typical ’90s outfit, has her arms crossed with a serious expression. She also shared another picture of her dad smiling and waving.
She captioned the post, “Father-daughter dance 1993. Missing you.” Fans and family filled the comments with love and support.

“I love you, Kourt,” her younger sister Khloé commented. Others also shared supportive messages like, “I know your father would be very proud of you,” and “Beautiful, he is watching over all of you.”
Many fans in the comments couldn’t help but notice how much Kourtney looks like her niece, North West, Kim and Kanye’s oldest daughter. One fan wrote, “Northie looks so much like you!” Others agreed, saying things like, “North has your whole face!” and “I’ve always thought North looks just like Kourtney, and this picture proves it!”
Kourtney is a mom of four. She shares Mason, 14, Penelope, 12, and Reign, 9, with her ex Scott Disick. Last year, she welcomed her first son with her husband, Travis Barker, named Rocky Thirteen.
Rocky’s middle name is a tribute to him being the thirteenth grandchild in the Kardashian family. Besides her four kids and North, the other Kardashian grandchildren include Kim’s three kids: Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5. Khloé has two kids with her ex Tristan Thompson: True, 6, and Tatum, 2. Rob has a daughter named Dream, 7, with his ex Angela White. Kylie Jenner has two kids, Stormi, 6, and Aire, 2, with her ex Travis Scott.
Even though Kourtney’s family has always been in the spotlight, her husband, Travis, recently said they want to raise Rocky differently. They’ve only shared pictures of him where his face isn’t visible.
In a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, the Blink-182 drummer explained, “Unfortunately, someone finally got a photo of him, but we’d prefer to keep him out of the spotlight.” He also mentioned that if he could do things differently, he would have done the same for his older kids, Landon, 20, and Alabama, 18.
