A lonely 82-year-old goes over to his new neighbor’s house, and starts something special!

For Shin Kabalo, a new chapter began when she moved to Pawtucket with her five children, leaving behind her old life and stepping into the unknown. While the excitement of a fresh start filled the air, Shin couldn’t help but feel apprehensive about settling into a new neighborhood and finding her place in the community. Little did she know that a life-changing friendship was waiting just next door.

Upon arriving in her new home, Shin quickly realized that the neighborhood was more welcoming than she had imagined. Among her new neighbors was 82-year-old Paul Callahan, an elderly man who had recently lost his wife and was struggling with loneliness. Paul was the last surviving member of his family, having outlived his siblings and his beloved wife of many years.
