Carol Vorderman, 63, says she’s not happy with her weight and feels that her “bum has dropped.” She also shared that her favorite snack is raw Brussels sprouts.

Carol Vorderman has said that she is not happy with her body and weight because she feels her “bum has dropped.” She shared that her favorite snack is raw Brussels sprouts.

The 63-year-old former Countdown star is known for looking great and taking care of her figure. However, in an interview with Saga Magazine, Carol admitted that she hasn’t been feeling her best lately because she hasn’t had enough time to go to the gym.

Even though she’s feeling less confident about her body, when asked how she stays looking great, Carol shared her unusual secret: she snacks on raw Brussels sprouts.

“I usually carry a bag of them with me,” she said.

Speaking to Saga Magazine , Carol admitted that she is feeling her best about her body at the moment because her ‘bum has dropped’ – after struggling to find time to keep up the gym

Speaking honestly about her body image, Carol said, “I’m not happy with my body right now. My bum has dropped, and I’m at the higher end of my weight.”

She explained that she hasn’t been to the gym for months because she’s been busy with her book and has been dealing with a knee problem. “The oil around my joints ran out, so I had two hyaluronic acid injections. The first one didn’t work, but the second one did,” she added.

To stay in shape, Carol mentioned, “I wear a good bra and jeans that lift me up. I usually eat one meal a day in the late afternoon, and I do three 45-minute gym sessions a week, which I really enjoy. I do a lot of squats to help my bum.”

Despite not being happy with her body right now, Carol said she “doesn’t care” about what others think of her looks. She stated, “I’m old enough not to care about anyone else’s opinions.”

She also mentioned that she practices intermittent fasting, which is a diet where you leave a long gap between your last meal one day and your first meal the next day.

But despite the body confidence dip, when asked how she stays looking as good as she does, Carol revealed her rather obscure secret – snacking on raw Brussels sprouts
The former Countdown star is no stranger to showcasing her jaw-dropping figure in sexy outfits and says it’s all thanks to a ‘good bra and sprouts’

Research shows that intermittent fasting can help with weight management and improve overall health.

Carol has also shared that she likes to do a detox twice a year. This helps reduce inflammation, cleanse the blood, improve circulation, and aid in weight loss.

In her book, Detox Your Life, Carol wrote that she never counts calories and goes on a detox health kick two times a year. She explained, “The detox isn’t about counting calories or fat; it’s about being aware of the foods we eat. It’s about eating more, not less.”

Carol recently mentioned that she hasn’t weighed herself in 24 years and revealed how she maintains her great figure. She did a 28-day detox diet back in 1999 after gaining some weight and hasn’t stepped on the scale since then. She said she doesn’t let doctors tell her what she weighs during medical visits.

On the Table Manners podcast, Carol talked about her past, saying, “Back in my thirties, I loved pasta and my husband Paddy, but I was working really hard and just got to the point where I was eating just to survive and stay awake.”

Carol explained how she fasts intermittently and carries the raw veg around in her handbag to snack on during the day

“I gained a little weight, and I didn’t like it. So, I started a detox diet that lasted 28 days. It was criticized by nutritionists back then because it meant no meat, wheat, dairy, or sugar for a month.

“People said, ‘No, you can’t do that,’ but now it’s pretty common advice. The detox was meant to help my organs cleanse themselves naturally.

“I ate a lot of vegetables, but I avoided regular potatoes because of the detox, which changed what I bought.

“Since finishing the detox, I haven’t weighed myself since 1999, so I don’t know what I weigh. I don’t let anyone tell me my weight when I go to the doctor. Most of the time, I eat pretty healthy at home.

“But if someone gives me chocolates or treats, I’ll eat them first instead of the veggies, so I try not to keep them in the house.

“I’m really happy with how I eat—that’s been my way of life for 20 years.”
