We find police officer Carl in a bad mood, frustrated with his personal and professional life. He stops a black woman for a traffic violation but is surprised to discover she is the same woman who has caused him trouble. Carl, angry and ready to assert his authority, approaches the car with a baton. However, the woman reveals that she has information about the drugs that were planted in his locker by his friends, Tony and Mark.
Carl had refused to get involved and now faces the possibility of losing his career. He blames the new police chief, Chief Brady, for the department’s recent upheaval and the pressure to be accountable and transparent. Read the full story here ▶
