In prison, Nikko Jenkins was deemed too dangerous to mix with other inmates

Nikko Jenkins’ mental state is again under review.
Douglas County District Court Judge Peter Bataillon on Wednesday granted a hearing to determine Jenkins’ competency to be tried on four counts of first-degree murder.

Bataillon set the competency hearing for May. 12.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys will present the opinions of separate psychiatrists who have most recently reviewed Jenkins’ mental state. Read the full story here ▶
