In a single second, Arkansas State Trooper 1st Class Moomey made a decision that would forever change the course of a potentially dangerous incident. Trooper Moomey was confronted with an impending threat this morning as chaos developed on the highway. The threat was posed by a drunk driver who was traveling dangerously in the wrong direction, putting the lives of a large number of innocent people in jeopardy.
Trooper Moomey executed his decision without any hesitance or doubt. Through the use of steel nerves and unyielding determination, he moved his vehicle in order to intercept the approaching danger, and he intentionally collided head-on with the motorist who was under the influence of alcohol.
