Joni Mitchell Reportedly Takes Swipe at Meghan Markle at Gershwin Prize Concert
The 50th Annual Gershwin Prize ceremony, which honors lifetime achievement in popular song, took an unexpected turn on Thursday night when music legend Joni Mitchell allegedly directed insults towards Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, who was present as a guest.
According to reports from concert attendees, Mitchell, who was awarded the Gershwin Prize in 2015, made a surprise appearance onstage during the tribute portion of the evening.
