Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Accused of Hypocrisy: Former MP Claims Public is Fed Up

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing accusations of hypocrisy as a former Tory MP claims that the public is growing tired of them.

Louise Mensch, who served as MP for Corby from 2010 to 2012 before relocating to New York, made these remarks during an interview with Piers Morgan on Sky News Australia.

Mensch stated that while the couple may sell a lot of books, they have completely disregarded any credibility they once had.

The discussion took place in the context of a recent episode of South Park titled “Worldwide Privacy Tour.”

In this episode, the Prince and Princess of Canada are satirized for their claims of desiring privacy and seclusion while simultaneously seeking attention.

Interestingly, the cover of South Park’s book, “Wag,” bears a striking resemblance to Harry’s autobiography, “Spare,” which was released last month.

Mensch further emphasized her point by stating, “They sell a lot of books because, let’s face it, people enjoy a bit of gossip.

But they’ve thrown away whatever credibility they had.”

It is worth noting that a spokesperson for the Sussexes denied rumors that the couple planned to sue over the parody, dismissing them as baseless and boring.

The South Park episode portrays the Prince and Princess appearing on the TV chat show “Good Morning Canada” while holding signs that read, “We want our privacy, stop looking at us.”

They also embark on a tour to various locations worldwide as part of their supposed quest for privacy.

This portrayal is in contrast to Meghan’s statement during her 2021 interview with Oprah, where she asserted that everyone has a basic right to privacy, including her family.

She provided an analogy to illustrate her point, comparing it to a scenario at work where a colleague admires a photo of one’s child on their desk.

Meghan explained that if the colleague demanded to see all the pictures on one’s phone because they had already seen one, it would be a violation of privacy.

She argued that sharing one image does not entitle others to invade one’s personal space.

In December of last year, following the release of their Netflix documentary series, Harry and Meghan’s global press secretary released a statement reaffirming their commitment to their royal and public duties.

The statement dismissed any suggestions of bribery and emphasized their desire to share their story on their own terms.

The couple believed that the tabloid media had created a false narrative that influenced public opinion, despite the facts being readily available.

The question now arises: What are people’s thoughts on Harry and Meghan using their royal status for publicity?

Are you also tired of their perceived hypocrisy and victim mentality?
