The release date of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which is on May 12, is exactly one month from now. Nintendo has released a brand-new game trailer to commemorate.
Nintendo has stated that Tears of the Kingdom’s last pre-launch trailer will be released tomorrow. On Thursday, April 13 at 7 a.m. PT, 10 a.m. ET, and 3 p.m. in the UK, the latest trailer for the much anticipated Breath of the Wild sequel will debut. The trailer will last about three minutes, according to Nintendo.
This is the third official trailer of Tears of the Kingdom since Nintendo announced the game’s name last year. Teasers for the sequel date back to E3 2019, when Nintendo first officially unveiled the project. So far, the trailers haven’t said much about the story at all, instead teasing Link’s new traversal mechanic, which series producer Eiji Aonuma revealed in full in last month’s gameplay demonstration.
Tomorrow’s new Tears of the Kingdom trailer has a lot to offer. Many Breath of the Wild fans remember the iconic Zelda trailer from the January 2017 Nintendo Switch presentation, which offered the most cinematic look at the game up until release. The trailer’s score was so epic it was even included on the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate soundtrack. Fans have been clamoring for Tears of the Kingdom for a similarly memorable trailer, and it seems like tomorrow is our best shot yet.
Tears of the Kingdom is by far Nintendo’s biggest game of 2023. Next Zelda is Nintendo’s first $70 title and also has the largest file size of any first-party Switch game. Overall, Nintendo has been very secretive with Tears of the Kingdom and is currently tracking down the leaker that released images of the Collector’s Edition artbook.
