The reality TV program “Big Brother” hasn’t appeared on our screens in five years, but it’s getting ready to return. The Big Brother franchise has already gone through two versions, airing on Channel 4 from 2000 to 2010 and again on Channel 5 from 2011 to 2018. This time around, ITV2 will be in charge as new housemates enter the Big Brother house to compete in challenges and nominations for the title of winner.
The late Jade Goody and Alison Hammond were two of the most famous “Big Brother” housemates, but the hosts have also become household names. For a decade, Davina McCall was the show’s host, famous for sayings like “You are live on Channel 4, please do not.”After season 2’s winner Brian Dowling took charge when the show changed networks, Emma Willis was given control until the finish.
ITV revealed on April 25 that AJ Odudu and Will Best will serve as the two presenters for the 2023 remake. Odudu is a confirmed admirer of the program, having recently hosted “The Big Breakfast” and serving as a frequent host of “Big Brother’s Bit on the Side” on Channel 5.
The two are guaranteed to light up the screen as Best co-presented “Dance Dance Dance” on ITV with Alesha Dixon in 2017. Best is also a friend of Odudu. They will be present to question the housemates about all the antics occurring there and to host the evictions, in addition to a nightly show debating the most controversial moments.
While there is no release date for the show yet, it is expected to premiere in the coming months with a new batch of reality star housemates. We’ll see you in the diary room.
