Despite her separation from Joe Alwyn, Taylor Swift isn’t slowing down. The singer’s split from her six-year ex-boyfriend was made public on April 8 (even though it had supposedly been over for weeks by that point). According to sources for Entertainment Tonight, the couple’s choice to part ways “was not dramatic” because “the relationship had just run its course.”
Swift was seen having dinner with her well-known friends, producer Jack Antonoff and actor Margaret Qualley, at Via Carota on April 10. However, it doesn’t appear that Swift is still brooding over her breakup. The Italian eatery is a few blocks from Cornelia Street, which is also the name of one of Taylor Swift’s songs from her album Red.
reported to have been inspired by the first few months of her relationship with Alwyn and is included on her 2019 “Lover” album.
Swift rented an apartment on Cornelia Street in 2016 while her Tribeca apartment underwent renovation, just as her romance with Alwyn was beginning to take off. Swift sings, “And I hope I never lose you, hope it never ends / I’d never walk Cornelia Street again / That’s the kind of heartbreak time could never mend,” in the song, suggesting that she felt like losing Alwyn would spoil her memories of Cornelia Street.
